A Bible to set Teens on Fire!

Good news about good news! AG News Service is reporting that the National Youth Ministries is partnering with Life Publishers and the Bible Alliance to publish the Fire Bible Student Edition. But before we can pitch tents and tailgate parties at the local Bible bookstore, we'll have to wait for Summer 2007 when it will be released.

So what so special about the edition and why Fire? The "adult" version is one of most sought-after study Bibles in the world. This is especially the case of Christians who are experiencing the Pentecostal revival and the explosive growth that goes with it. It's called the Fire Bible because it is written from a Pentecostal perspective. Or as I like to put it...it's written for those who have had, believe in or are seeking an "Acts Chapter 2 reading-Apostlelike faith motivating-empower you to be bold and perform miracles anointating-whip the devil with a Holy Ghost switchin-fire shut up in your bones and all over you cremating" experience.

For many pastors in anti-Christian and developing countries, the adult version has become a one-book Biblical library, 1. because Christian literature is hard to come by in these countries and 2. because this study Bible is so thorough in its notes, concordance and study helps. The Bible Alliance has successfully translated and distributed the Fire Bible in several languages and has done so in hard-to reach countries. In China alone, 2 million Chinese Fire Bibles were recently distributed. It must have been a powerball day for Christian leaders there. According to some reports, they had been earnestly waiting for just such a study Bible that would go hand in hand with the largely Pentecostal revival that is spreading like wildfire across the once atheistic state.

Thankfully, youth will not have to wait too much longer to be equipped with a Bible that's on fire too!
